Inspired by the flourishing creative talent in Leeds, we created Anyone as a platform for local designers and creators to share their stories, and processes and collaborate with the local community.

Actve, a groundbreaking platform revolutionizing fitness. Actve aims to empower fitness instructors to create and distribute online classes seamlessly while providing enthusiasts with a centralized hub to connect with trainers. My role involved in-depth user and market research to understand the landscape, identify market fit, and define distinct persona groups.
Through rigorous analysis and iterative exploration, I uncovered valuable insights guiding the design process. The culmination was the development of a fully interactive Figma prototype, serving as a proof of concept for Actve's vision. This prototype not only facilitated user testing but also played a crucial role in securing additional investment to propel Actve towards the development of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

Hitting the GYM to define our core users.
In the project's initial phase, we focused on understanding and defining our users and confirming the product's direction. Through visits to various gyms in North London, Manchester & Leeds, we interviewed both fitness enthusiasts and trainers. This led to the identification of two key user groups: Coaches (content creators) and Doers (those seeking coaching). We then developed detailed personas for each group to guide our feature prioritization.
For the UI design, we aimed for familiarity while aligning with user preferences, akin to a Netflix-style interface. We prioritized features for easy content saving and following favorite creators, ensuring an intuitive and seamless experience.

We developed a portal for content creators to upload workouts, host live sessions, view analytics, and edit videos. The platform was designed to be lightweight and user-friendly, accommodating the busy schedules of content creators.
A website is composed of interactive elements. We created a website that found our logo composed of interactive elements, these could then be clicked and dragged around by users to create fun little illustrations - easily sharable on social media.

During our early research, our coaches often felt like they were lifting weights blindfolded when it came to content creation. They craved guidance and tips along the way, so we made sure to spot them and give them the extra push they needed to pump up their content game!
Video creation proved to be a heavy lift for our coaches, many of whom were intimidated by the thought of editing videos and reluctant to invest in pricey editing software. To tackle this challenge, a user-friendly video editing tool was added within the platform, providing them with the equipment they needed to flex their creative muscles and produce top-notch content without breaking a sweat—or the bank!
To build all of this, we crafted a robust design system. Every element within the system was infused with motion, ensuring that when the prototype flexed its muscles, it came alive with dynamic interactions. We utilized Figma's variable components to bring this vision to fruition, resulting in a seamless user experience that kept our users engaged and motivated to reach their fitness goals.
